5.2.2013 THE MIRACLE OF HANNAH

from the 'hallelujah' page of my prayer journal today..

THANK YOU LORD for the news just received from hannah
at berkheimer tax administrator that (2 miracles)

1. all charges (over $100) for stopping payment on a check
that had not been cashed by berkheimer over four months
after i sent it. (as soon as i stopped payment the check seemed
to be discovered and hence all the charges against me.)

2. (since some of my mistakenly made out checks
were switched to HAB-LST, the $52 annual tax for
souderton)
even though i have paid only $222 (the amount due for
the 1%-of-my-income tax, HAB-EIT)
i was informed that i will not have to pay any more...
in effect, paying $222 total when, for both taxes,
i owed for 2012 $274. (i'm not complaining for i have
spent literally hours all 2012 into 2013 trying, on a calling
card to resolve what somehow was beginning to appear
unsolvable.)

to be quite frank, i was the creator (and most likely, the
sustainer)of the problem, for

1. i was careless not to ask early in 2012 inquiring
questions about things that were confusing me. if i had
i would have learned that the $52 HAB-LST tax was
a brand new tax for 2012.

2. i was clueless about the new law mandating payments
every quarter, even when no income was earned in a
quarter!

3. i developed a case of towering self-righteous anger
over the seeming impossibility of anyone at berkheimer
helping me (i am now convinced this was all God's
doing.)
i wistfully longed for a person such as hannah who would
A. take seriously my difficulty,
B.  listen carefully to its exact nature
C. work assiduously for it to become resolved
D. give some sense that there was another person who
heard, understood, empathized with and did what i was
incapable of doing alone to help solve the problem.

4.i did not commit this all to the Lord and trust only in Him
for its solution...
but when He brought me to the end of myself, He not
only graciously helped me to do this but
then did what He promises in ps. 37.5
'commit (literally 'roll over on' thy way to the Lord,
trust also in Him
AND HE SHALL BRING IT TO PASS.

from what i learned today He may be, working miracles,
bringing the whole snarled mess to a conclusion. we
will see what He has in mind...

after hannah informed me of what happened as a result
of inquiries she has been making, i read her what was
noted on the berkheimer sheet during the 4.25 call in
which i first explained my problem to her:
''i get a 'human being' on the line!
(first, in many talked to)
is this a 'messenger'  (the meaning of 'angel') from You
Lord?..she laughed delightedly.

i hope when calling back
(this was her encouragement...which i now see as another
possible providence of God), to confirm that the things
i must send copies of, etc, discussed today...
that this last transaction, duly received and recorded
by berkheimer, is indeed the end of the whole thing.

when this happens i hope to then write a letter to berkheimer
highly commending her 'above and beyond' efforts
to untangle this mess...as if it were her own mess.

Blessed be God..whatever happens.
His will be done in this, me and all.
and may He come to make hannah His own daughter
if He hasn't already.
