this is my initial blog. thank you, nate for helping me! i established this as a 'safe haven'. i have subsequently entered other things from my gmail due to frustration with not being able to locate things there. it seems everytime you call something up in gmail it is posted the day you called it up (there is probably a way around this problem but i don't know it.) and so in time you cannot find things at all according to chronological reckoning. i started writing a weekly letter to our children, nate-kate-jon, when nate started his travel trek around the world. occasionally it was used for other thing but around september 2008 words started to gush out of me! i began submitting a letter every week to the local newspaper, souderton independent in souderton, pa., and could have submitted alot more. this has not abated but grown more pronounced as we go along...we'll see what happens. anyway i hope to start bringing the articles written to the paper that are in gmail over first and then bring the weekly letters over. as i am able each transfer will be put in the blog by the date it was written.

i am definitely a work in progress. these are not well though out, polished and finished pieces but burst out from exigency in the day to day rough and tumble. positions are always held, in one very real sense, loosely...always ready to receive correction and improvement as it may be perceived to come. only Jesus is Truth.
